Becoming a Roehl Driver
Training Center student is simple.
Training the best drivers is a priority at RDTC. In accordance with U.S. Federal Law, RDTC does not discriminate in its admission practices. Because safety is a shared value between Roehl Transport, Inc. and RDTC, candidates as well as Roehl Transport drivers must meet specific guidelines including:
- Complete a RDTC enrollment application and Roehl Transport Inc. Employment Application.
- Successfully complete our interview process and background checks.
- Have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and work history.
- Pass a physical and pre-employment drug tests (DOT & Non-DOT hair follicle).
- Pass an on-site Flatbed pre-work screening or Van pre-work screening on qualification day to determine you can safely perform essential job functions
Qualifications are not limited to only those listed and are subject to change without notification.

An admissions representative will contact qualified applicants to answer any questions about the industry, RDTC and Roehl Transport, Inc. Additional information may be requested to further process your application. Once you are approved, a representative will schedule your class date.
Before beginning RDTC you will need a Commercial Driver’s License Learner’s Permit from your state of residence. It will be issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) upon completion of a written exam that tests your knowledge in three subject areas: general knowledge pertaining to commercial driving, combination vehicles and air brakes. The State will charge a fee for the permit. Non-Wisconsin residents must take the test in their home state. If a DOT physical exam is required before the State will issue a permit, Roehl Transport will assist you with arrangements for the physical.
