Owner Operator Qualifications

Roehl Transport, Inc. has always maintained a commitment to SUPERIOR SAFETY and SUPERIOR SERVICE and will continue to honor that commitment. Owner operators and drivers must meet Roehl’s quality standards with regard to work history, safety records and professional appearance.

General

Drivers must:

  • Be 21 years old with 100,000 miles of safe and verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last three years.
  • Be clean and present a professional appearance. You are a front-line representative to our customers.
  • Possess a Class A CDL in your state of residence.
  • Pass a CDL style road test at Roehl's orientation.
  • Pass a physical, DOT drug test and non-DOT hair follicle drug test.
  • Supply complete and accurate information on the Qualification Application.
Motor Vehicle Record

Drivers must have:

  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past three years or a maximum of 2 moving violations within the previous 24 months.
  • No “major” at-fault accidents within the previous 12 months. No more than 2 minor at-fault accidents within the previous 24 months.
  • No citations in excess of 20 mph within the previous three years.
  • No license suspensions within the past three years, except suspensions for unpaid tickets (all license suspensions will be taken under review).
  • No convictions for reckless/careless driving ever in a commercial vehicle and none in a personal vehicle within the past five years.
  • No DUI/DWI within the past five years. No more than one ever in a personal vehicle. No DUI/DWI ever in a commercial vehicle.
  • No controlled substance (or paraphernalia) violations or convictions.
  • Driving and work record must show regard for safety.
Criminal History

Roehl will review criminal background and subject to any limitation imposed by federal or state law disqualify applicants with job-related criminal backgrounds.
