Drivers who have been through Roehl’s Driver Safety and Job Skills Training Program are respected throughout the industry as among the best-trained truck drivers on the road… and shipper satisfaction surveys, performance data and safety statistics back up that reputation.
The principles of success
Designed around easy-to-learn principles with lots of hands-on skill development, the Roehl program will teach you DOT motor carrier rules, trip planning, freight handling and company policies, all under the umbrella of our industry-leading protective driving safety program—The Roehl Way.™ Roehl’s home time commitment applies to student drivers too. We won’t keep you out 20 days or more at a time, even when you’re in training. Our safety and job skills training is divided into three evolutions of skill development. Evolutions I and II last up to 13 days each with home time in between them.
Qualification day and orientation
On qualification day you will complete a drug screen, an on-site pre-work screening to determine you can safely perform essential job functions and a driving skills evaluation. Orientation will begin the morning after qualification day. You’ll complete paperwork, learn some basic policies and get familiar with our equipment prior to starting your on-the-road training. Orientation is 3 days.
